Already a few weeks, ago, I promised I would write down my experiences in creating umbraco stuff. I finally found the time to do so. Here goes the first article in a series of... more articles? :)
If you have ideas that you would like to see in action, leave a comment and I'll try to do my best to create those. You may also rate the article if you like.
Yep, that's right! A first umbraco-hosted user control is finished and live! I'll be blogging about the making-of pretty soon (And will answer the questions about why I've made it working this way/what decisions I've made druing the development, the errors I ran into (??)). In the mean time, check it out and report any errors you may have found.
Next on my list. Get a status report about what has happened over the past week. I've made that promise, so I'll better stick to it.
At last but not least: CG08 is about the start! I guess forum activity will drop!
Mmmhh, just verified my blog site for xhtml compliance. Oops, seems I've got some extra work this weekend.
Also watch out, I'll be releasing and installing my first usercontrol 'UmbracoBlogCalendar' pretty soon. I've been watching Tim's screencast and wanted to do a similar thing on my site. Hence the birth of 'netaddicts.umbraco.UmbracoBlogCalendar'. If I got some spare time, I'll be setting up an articles section and the making of my first user control hosted in umbraco is the perfect candidate for the series.
In addition, I'm working on a weekly 'status update' post. It will contain links to interestings things I've found on the net, in the forums and on blogs of other fellow umbracians. Don't know exactly right now how I will structure that content, but I'll sort it out somehow.
Oh, and btw, for those who're going to CG08 next week, have fun and keep me updated about the event.
Cheers,
/Dirk
