translation features in umbraco

Posted on dinsdag 14 juli 2009

A client of mine was asking how he had to use the translation features in umbraco. Honestly, I haven't used it before but have started to explore how those features can be used in umbraco. Have a look at this article and let me know your thoughts on the last question.

We made a small transtion tool for a flash based front end that dynamically reads an XML. It is simple enough for a translator and he/she doesn't need extra software. It should work for the Umbraco files:

Regarding how the XML is used, i believe that a lot of translation software programs have some XML functions. So i guess the translator imports it, translates, and exports it again. Don't have any name for the software though.
